Visualize the Structure of a Song

Use this tool to visualize the structure of a song. Song structure is shown as a grid of colored cells where each cell represents a beat and the color represents the similarity of that beat to another beat.

After uploading audio, the tool will analyze it to detect the beats and their similarities. The resulting data is visualized in a grid format along with live playback. Grid patterns indicate that there are recurring structures such as a chorus. You can use your mouse to scrub through the song while the visualization updates live to show what parts of the song are similar to the current beat.

You can also use the other tools on this site to edit the song and find loops using the similarity data. The visualization is there for those who want to visualize the song but the tools are more helpful for practical reasons.
